This sleek mono pitched house was built on the banks of the beautiful Roodeplaat dam in a nature reserve where animals roam freely in the estate. The house was designed along a long linear line ensuring all the rooms of the house enjoy the breathtaking views of the dam. The mono pitched roofs gesture up toward the view opening up the rooms to the view and maximising the amount of light entering the rooms. The earthy material palette gave way to the use of exposed concrete, timber and steel to blend in with the natural environment found in the estate.
